For 2017, the Dodge Challenger comes back as the most powerful muscle car ever. The line-up grows with the all-new Challenger T/A and T/A 392 models. The T/A models come with more performance and styling. They get Satin Black exterior graphics, wider wheels, powerful brakes, and a new cold-air engine induction. There are four new colors available for the Challenger: Octane Red, Yellow Jacket, Destroyer Grey, and Green Go available late in the year. All the models are available with the fourth-generation Uconnect system that now comes with smartphone integration. Now Apple and Android users can use certain smartphone features through the car. Under the Challenger's Hood
The Challenger's standard base engine is a 3.6-liter V6. It is rated at 268 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. The next level up engine is a 5.7-liter V8. When it is equipped with an automatic it is powered at 372 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque and then when it has a manual it is powered at 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Stepping up the ladder, the next engine is a 6.4-liter engine that is rated at 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The Hellcat comes with its own supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that is powered by 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All the engines can come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive design with near 50/50 weight distribution.
Design of Dodge Challenger
There are many configurations of the Dodge Challenger. The main trim models are SXT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. The base model Challenger SXT comes with heated mirrors, keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power driver seat, Bluetooth, 18-inch wheels, a six-speaker sound system, and a 5-inch touchscreen. Some of the trims get upgrades from sub-trims. The R/T and Scat Pack get Shaker upgrades. They add a Shaker hood with a large cold air-induction scoop extending through the hood, black exterior trim, and a sport steering wheel. The R/T Shaker comes with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and satellite radio. The Scat Pack Shaker comes with power-adjustable and heated steering wheel. There are even more sub-trims with the Plus versions for the SXT, R/T, R/T Shaker, and T/A. The Plus features 20-inch wheels, a rearview camera, foglights, rear parking sensors, heated and ventilated sport seats, a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, the Alpine sound system, and the 8.4-inch touchscreen.

The features in the Super Sport Group are 20-inch satin carbon aluminum wheels, 245/45R20 performance tires, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, trunk lid spoiler, 3.07 rear axle ratio, and four-wheel disc anti-lock performance brakes.
